Engelheim Charter began with a school bus way back on July 1, 1975. We provided volunteer services to our community in & around Lipton, Saskatchewan, transporting local youth to Saskatchewan Roughrider football games, Regina Pats hockey games, as well as ski trips to the Canadian Rockies and camping trips throughout Western Canada.

From the beginning, Oliver Engel had been the main driver, and his wife Gladys Engel has been managing the business. By 1978 the school bus was exchanged for a small 39 passenger motorcoach. Over the years, Engelheim has been steadily increasing in size as a response to the demands for our high-quality professional passenger transportation services.
It is with heavy hearts that we had to say goodbye to a great man. On June 28, 2012, Oliver Earl Engel passed away after a brief battle with cancer. Oliver was a man of vision and purpose who possessed a great and unique sense of humor. Every group that had the great privilege of a trip with "Ollie" has an unforgettable memory of his whacky one-liners. He safely transported tens of thousands of people from all walks of life. He will be dearly missed.

In 2013, Engelheim Charter became a corporation and is now Engelheim Charter Inc., owned by Gladys Engel and her son Shane Engel. Operating from their new headquarters near White City, Saskatchewan, the business continues to be family-run by the mother-son team. Here at Engelheim, we strive to give you the highest quality services. We assure you the best trip possible with competitive pricing.
In 2020, Engelheim acquired the equipment and business of Moose Mountain Bus Lines and Moose Mountain Tours from John Fehr Enterprises. Engelheim’s CEO, Shane Engel, stated, “This is an exciting moment in our company’s history. We are effectively bringing a Saskatchewan company back home, combining the best of two companies to offer excellent, personalized service to an even larger part of the province. We have worked alongside Moose Mountain for many years, and although they have always been a competitor, I have never truly felt that we were rivals.”
